The Hester E. and Edwin W. Giddings Foundation provides grants generally ranging between $500 and $5000 to organizations providing health, welfare, arts oriented, educational and open space preservation services of a charitable nature. Grants are rarely made to agencies outside of El Paso and Teller Counties.
No specific form for application is required. A letter including the amount requested, to what purpose it will be applied, and how the grant would fit into the overall purpose and budget of your agency is needed. Supplementary information regarding the age, governance, and budget of your organization is useful in considering the grant request.
Certification of tax exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service is required with each grant request.
Grant request must be received by September 30 for consideration at the annual allocations meeting.
